I've yet to catch Uchida's Lowlife Love, but he's got another film in production, produced by Third Window Films and Rapid Eye Movies.

Well....is this another example of throw-a-foreigner-in-the-movie-as-they-are-a-minor-celebrity-because-of-their-foreigness-regardless-of-whether-or-not-they-can-act-so-it -will-spoil-the-movie-whenever-they-are-onscreen....or not???

I'll be interested in checking this out. He's certainly a director that caught my eye with TOPLESS (the best of the 3 films I've seen from Uchida). I felt GREATFUL DEAD had a strong start with the dark humor & quirky characters but was disappointed in how the final third of the movie turned into a conventional slasher flick.

Speaking of Third Window Films, Adam released its 2016 release schedule and new acquisitions and the one that caught my eye was a Toshiaki Toyoda Early Years blu ray box set of 9 SOULS, PORNO STAR & UNCHAIN scheduled for a late December/January release date. Adam also mentioned there is a possibility other Toyoda titles may be released further down the line. I guess this will be contingent on sales of the EARLY YEARS box set and also, predicated on his health as he has been facing some medical issues of late.



TWF has also acquired Hiroshi Shoji's debut, KEN AND KAZU and will also be a late December/January release but the format as yet to be determined.
