Frederick and Delores have a “remember when” conversation that leads them both to realize who they are to one another and then it's on to some make-up loving, right there in the hospital bed. This leave the kids sitting in the hallway, so the two wannabe monster hunters depart and separate. Geoff goes to the cafeteria to talk to the jock who gave him so much shit about being a weirdo, as the guy has had a change of heart. He's haunted by his friends whose deaths he caused and is looking to Geoff for some council.

Vivian makes her way home on foot, leaving the rest of the Allan family at the hospital, and that leaves her an open target for the one who seemingly wants to take out the clan. Someone or something is after her out there in the dark, and someone or something stops the attack from going any further but she doesn't stick around to find out who or why. And when her dad and brother come home soon after, they find her talking with a man named Merle Cole, someone who has a beef with Frederick. He talks a good game, but Frederick has a surprise for him. It surprises the kids too.

Get set another good time from the team of Niles and Worm this month, with some nice action between a werewolf and a robot-man sort of thing to beef things up a little. Frederick shows a bit of his old self coming through and the kids, looking to get their dad back into the game, get a real taste of the man's methods and mindset. He doesn't like Merle, not at all, and his way of handling threats might just make Merle wish he'd driven by the house instead of bragging about something he'd done and something wants to do. The results make for a fantastic last page; what a great way to end an issue. If you're not hooked on the series by the end of this one, what the frig is wrong with you? This is comic book excellence.
